Leadership is Function not Title
When you mention the subject of leadership many people automatically think about about position and titles. This reveals that for a long time people have been taught or have observed leadership as position to control people and resources. Contrary to the popular belief leadership is the function of responsibility which inspires others to contribute willingly to the success of the given tasks or mandate. When leaders embrace leadership followers get inspired to follow. However, true leadership does not only want followers to be excited and inspired but to grow and become leaders at their own right.
In our societies today we have many title focused people who fail to cultivate a leadership garden that produces true leaders. Many potential leaders end up not being matured because of scarcity of true leadership. Instead of calling for more leaders to take positions let us call them to take more responsibilities that come with the privilege of being in leadership.
